Dear Parents and Students:

The school will start on Aug. 12 as planned!  Welcome back to school!!!

School Opening meeting:

On Aug. 12, before the class starts, the school will have a 10 to 15-minute meeting in Carmel High School Freshman cafeteria (next to Greyhound Cafeteria) at 1pm for all the parents and students.  Please be there on time.  In this meeting, the School principal will briefly introduce the teachers to the parents/students, and will emphasize some of the school policies.

Registration:

Many thanks to those parents/students, who have already completed the online registration and paid the tuition.

For those parents/students who got the e-Invoice via email, but haven’t paid yet, please make payment as soon as possible.  Thanks!

For those parents/students who haven’t done the online registration, please do so at your earliest available time.  You will get the e-invoice soon after your registration.

Note:  Only the students who already paid the tuition will get the textbooks in the first day of the school.  In addition, there will be a $20 late fee if tuition is paid two weeks after the school starts (means late fee will apply if tuition is paid after Aug. 26).

If you need help for online registration and payment, the school volunteers can assist you on August 12, and 19, from 1-4pm, at CHS Greyhound Cafeteria.

Classrooms assigned for each class:

Please see attached map (ppt) for classroom assignment for each class.   For example, classroom E125 is for Language class Level 3-2 (from 1-3pm), and for Chess 1-2 (from 3-4pm).  In the map, A, B, C, D, E and F are for the parent duty positions.

Updated School calendar for Fall Semester 2018

As communicated during July 19-20, Carmel High School will have activities on Nov.4, and the facility will not be available for us to have class.  So the school administration decided to switch the class from Nov.4 to Oct. 14 which was initially scheduled for Fall break.  That means we will have class on Oct. 14, and NO class on Nov. 4.  Thanks for your understanding.  Attached please find the updated calendar.  You can also check the updated calendar online with the link below:

1)  Language and after-school classes offered by the school and tuition

Note:  The tuition listed in the website is for one semester.

2)  Online Registration Instruction

Instruction for online registration is available on the ICCCI website at http://www.indy-chinese. com/index.php?option=com_ content&view=article&id=548& Itemid=69&lang=us .

3) Textbooks

The teacher for each class will be handing out the textbooks to his/her students directly in the classroom on the first day of school.  Note:  Only the students who have paid the tuition will get the textbooks.

4)  Checklist for Tuition Payment

a)      Complete online registration;

b)       Complete electronic payment after receive e-invoice for online registration, instruction for how to pay online is attached;

c)     Every family needs to pay $50.00 Parent Duty Deposit. If this is your first time to register for ICCCI school, you need to pay the $50.00 deposit; if you have paid the deposit last year, and also have performed Parent Duty twice in  the 2017-2018 school year, then you don’t need to pay the $50.00 deposit this time.  (For those only enrolled for one semester last year, you only need to perform Parent Duty once).  If you failed to perform the required number of  Parent Duty in school year 2017-2018, you will receive a separate bill of $50 or $100 for skipping either one or two duties, respectively.  The bill will be sent to you after school start.

5)  Parent Duty Sign up

Each family is required to perform one time parent duty in each semester, and twice per school year.  $50 full refund can only be made after your parent duty is well served according to your sign up.

-Parents, who have performed the required number of parent duty, don't need to pay the fee again, and the $50 credit will be transferred to the student for the next school year.  If a parent fails to perform the parent duty requirement, the $50 deposit will be forfeited, and he/she needs to pay another $50 during the next school year registration. For those parents fails the two required duties per school year, he/she needs to pay another $100 during the next school year registration, and previous $50 will be forfeited.

- A security slip will be issued to parents one week following the completion of parent duty for those parents that students will not attend the ICCCI Chinese School next semester.
